The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. The 17 SDGs are (1) No Poverty, (2) Zero Hunger, (3) Good Health and Well-being, (4) Quality Education, (5) Gender Equality, (6) Clean Water and Sanitation, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (9) Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, (10) Reducing Inequality, (11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, (12) Responsible Consumption and Production, (13) Climate Action, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life On Land, (16) Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, (17) Partnerships for the Goals. Goals are universal and apply to all countries and cultures.
The goals provide us with our best chance of ensuring the necessary collaboration and alignment as we implement global approaches to securing a fair, healthy, and prosperous future for ourselves, our children, and grandchildren. Committing and striving to fulfill the SDGs by all human nations is a move in the right direction towards global sustainability and towards enhancing the livelihoods of all citizens across the globe.
Realizing the practical and global significance of the SDGs companies and corporations have been widely striving to design and implement their institutions’ sustainability plans with aligning with SDGs.
STA is aligning currently with 8 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as part of its approach and strategy to become a sustainable network of schools and centers within 2025
- Goal (1) No Poverty: by creating new job opportunities and generating income for socio-economic upgrades
- Goal (4) Quality Education: dual education system with international certification
- Goal (5) Gender Equality: gender diversity STA is supporting the empowerment of woman in technical education in Egypt by promoting the enrollment of girls in all its study programs and reach, by 2025 a ratio of 60% boys/40% girls in our network of schools
- Goal (7) affordable and clean energy: new schools are designed using solar energy solutions, & integrating renewable energy as a field of study. adopting recycling
- Goal (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth: by availing better job opportunities to its graduates, and providing the market with skilled labor to enhance investment opportunities in Egypt
- Goal (9) Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: our modern and smart network of schools, tackling the 4.0 Industry revolution requirements, to support economic development and human well-being
- Goal (10) Reducing Inequality: social inclusion to all segments of the society and designed programs for PWDs is part of our strategy to support marginalized and disadvantaged youths
- Goal (17) Partnerships for the Goals: our strong network of industrial, academic, and funding partners is the key to the success of our sustainable educational model in dual education and training.
