“The Applied Technology Schools provide three years of technical secondary education degree (3) or five years of a technical intermediate associate degree (3+2), after preparatory education, with curricula, educational approach and assessment and with a new certification system that is implemented, regulated, and monitored adopting international standards of quality. Its objective is to develop a competitive, internationally benchmarked graduate ready for life and competent to enter the workforce immediately as a competitive productive employer.
Selected by the MoE&TE, public technical schools are included in the ATS system and are offered as Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) with participating industry leaders to ensure a seamless work-based learning system that integrates high-quality academic education at schools, with first-class on-site practical training in a real working environment. The ATS in Port Said will be established in collaboration with the MoE&TE and several relevant institutions, industrial partners, and governmental entities, to provide 3 years of innovative study programs for disadvantaged Egyptian youths, in several fields of specialization. The ATS will follow the Dual system model already successfully applied at STA TSSs.”

Partnership with MoE&TE: On the 20th of October 2021 during a ceremony held for the graduation of a batch of students for the first time since its establishment in 2011, Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to establish and develop 10 applied technology schools nationwide within 5 years. The agreement is part of STA wider strategy to serve 10000 beneficiaries within 2025 by establishing new Technical schools and training centers in Egypt and the Region.
